Lion’s 08-09 Season Predictions Part II
![]()
I have restarted, and recomputed, the Lions 08-09 GIBAG predictor based on the full schedule release. The Gut Instinct Blind Assed Guess system uses the massive computing power of a POTR subconscious and irresponsible amounts of beer to lubricant it’s cogs. I will put it’s results against ESPN any day. Based on the new schedule variable the GIBAG estimates Lions will now finish 9-7 in the 2008-2009. This is a slight change from the initial 8-8 figures. The most notable results are the 3-0 start going into the bye week, that will continue to a 4-0 start. Our hope will rise. A lose in Minnesota on the road will stop that rise, but our hope eternal will spring again with a road win against the Texans. Is the curse over? No way amigos! Following that road win we will go on a 4 week skid that only stops with our crushing the Bucs at Ford Field on Nov 23rd. This Thanksgiving day victory will have us at 6-5 going into week 14 against the Titans who will squash our optimism at home. Now at 6-6 we look like the old Lions again. Well extract some vengeance against the Vikings, but have to suffer through a biblical asswhoping from the Colts on their turf. Now 7 & 7. I’m picking two upsets for the Lions to finish strong against the Saints and the Packets for a 9-7 finish. Playoffs? Maybe………… but only if the NFC North does as poorly as I think they just may do. Hope does spring eternal in Motown.
