Suprise suprise the European leaders don’t think too much of Obama’s credentials after all

The BBC reports that the British have their doubts on Obama as well.  While it’s not a shock to me what conclusions the British Ambassador reached, it is a shock that they actually said it.  I figured with Obama being an extreme left candidate they’d be jumping for joy over him possibly winning the election.  Appears that may be true publicly, but the EU governmental side is already worrying about a US economic recession and the potential from a pull back of US international roles in funding and military support.  Obama’s lack of credentials and ability to state a stance on issue seems to be getting to them exacerbating their worries.   Interesting……..

Excerpts:  The British ambassador to Washington has described US presidential hopeful Barack Obama as “highly intelligent” but at times “aloof”, reports say

“In the Senate… his voting record was decidedly liberal. But the main impression is of someone who was finding his feet, and then got diverted by his presidential ambitions.”

Mr Obama “can seem to sit on the fence, assiduously balancing pros and cons”, he reportedly says, and “does betray a highly-educated and upper middle class mindset”.

Charges of elitism “are not entirely unfair” and he is “maybe aloof, insensitive” at times, Sir Nigel is said to add.

This executive view still does not reflect the EU public opinion polls though:
