An American Hero moves on, COL(R) Robert L. Howard 1939-2009
COL(R) Robert L. Howard passed away on the 23rd of December 2009. To my regret I didn’t know until today when a friend of mine who had served with COL Howard in the 80′s informed me. This is a man who was nominated for the Medal of Honor three times, for three different actions. A True Hero that the world barely notices his passing. More inportant things to do I guess. Fortunately there were a few prior war correspondents with enough clout that knew him and were able to push his story into the news (clip below). Even if it was just for a minute. If they can, so can I. Thank you for your remarkable service COL Howard and I’ll see you on the high ground.
