End of the World Thought #8: How many beers do ya think you could pack into a cooler taped to the side of an ultra-lite’s seat and still be able to lift off? Apparently a KitchenAid mixer is the wife’s version of the husband’s favorite assault rifle. There’s always more crap to buy and snap onto it. Eventually the Gucci gear is worth more than what it’s hooked to.
Yup, Mrs POTR has a Gucci assed KitchenAid mixer. I’m not sure how the this is gonna help when the Zombies arrive, but what the hell it keeps her happy.
Isn’t The POTR posting about kitchen appliances a sign of the Apocalypse in the Sikh texts? If not, it should be.

No real context is given with the quote except the occasional bridge to a pet peeve of mine or recent political event associated to a historical event. In looking for today’s quote I started with more editorial from me than normal so I decide to post on my prime site as today’s blog post vs. a Facebook drive-by status update.

What I took away from this quote today was the date. Social-Political cause and effect is measured in decades. We’re now so deep into the obvious impacts of the decades of wasteful and irresponsible Congressional spending that generational mortgaging for vote getting social programs can no longer be ignored by even the world’s most inept accountant. Congress can no longer pay for the promises they have made over the past decades, or the ones they continue to make. They know we have to begin the painful process of massive program cutting to even keep the country solvent. Yet they continue to smile and promise to feed the social program beast at every campaign stop. ”We can afford it all!” they chant while explaining how their 1+1 math formula really equals -1 with deficit reduction and even more yummy benefits for the beast. They know their lying, we know they’re lying but they just can’t stop and we are the voter enablers. It’s as if Congress has become a fiscal heroin addict. They know it’s wrong and bemoan it all. They will cry rivers of tears on how it’s irresponsibly and how the “other party” is to blame and must be voted out of office for the good of the nation. But like an addict, they will turn their back on you as soon as possible and go right back to shooting up your money again. The cycle continues.
So the problem we have now is how do we fix the fiscal irresponsibility of our government when society has itself become addicts of government social engineering programs and fiscal slaves?

You didn’t make a damn thing in the way of profit, but you didn’t lose the house. So I have two, no three, points to make with that in mind. First, I didn’t suck as bad as your average NFL pundit. Second, weeks 5/10/13 we’re massive upset weeks that fraked up everyone not just me. Finally why the hell would you be picking any games based on what a drunken right wing zombie hunting Pissed Off Tree Rat thinks anyway?! I’m already pining away for next season……

I always dread the end of the football season. This year we have The Walking Dead marathon leading up to the premier tonight to take some of the edge off though. Many thanks to AMC! But it’s always this time of year that I hunger for the NFL to finally sanction on of these “farm leagues” that are always up and down then out. I know the NCAA is a free farm league for the NFL, but I got such a bad taste in my mouth during my college years with college sports that I’ve never recovered. I guess I’ll have to turn back to hockey……… But tonight it’s ZOMBIES!
